DESCRIPTION
OF THE RESTAURANT
With a rich history of
excellence and tradition, the Turrialtico
Restaurant opened to the public in 1968 by Aracelly and Marcial Garcia, pioneers
of the tourism industry in Turrialba. The Turrialtico Restaurant has a rich
history of excellence and tradition. The founders were visionary seeing the
potential and attractiveness of the valley.
They dared to explore and discover a world unknown to them: the culinary
arts. They were the bare owners of a special charisma and character
that proved to be enough to make the new restaurant a success and a special
establishment forever in this beautiful valley.
Today
their daughter, Lucrecia and her husband, Hector, carry on their
wonderful tradition. The meals served are customary to Costa Rica, with
a personal touch from the original owners, who maintained and kept the
innovative recipes. These recipes are all held to the same high standards of
quality today. The main dishes contain tasty meat of the region
accompanied by the freshest vegetables, yuca or delicious plantains, without
failing to include the traditional Tayuyas Guanacastecas (corn tortillas)
filled with whatever you would like...
Strategically located on a hill above the valley overlooking the town of
Turrialba, this open air restaurant allows you to sit anywhere and still
enjoy the incredible views of the landscape. To the west lays the Turrialba
Volcano, to the South Angostura Lake, fields of sugarcane and coffee with
majestic Talamanca Mountain Range in the background, and to the east and the
north more coffee farms and mountains. (The views are truly unforgettable).
Nights in the Turrialtico restaurant are just as beautiful and enjoyable
for our visitors because as the sun sets thousands of lights come on throughout
the valley. Come and experience the beauty for yourself, our Lodge is very welcoming and we would like to invite you to feel like a
king...
